Balanced mindset

Humans have 2 brains – namely left and right. Each has its main functions. Left is more logical while the right is more creative. Logical is structured but creative is about freedom. To be a well-rounded person, we need to have the best of both world.

A well-rounded person is better at utilizing both his brains to achieve a more balanced outcome which is more sustainable and stable in a highly disruptive world. He who owns a balanced mindset will be less stressful in a high pressured society.

Continuing from our last blog post where we mentioned that it is essential for our children to start equipping themselves with fundamental knowledge of the various life skills, we need to ensure that we help them balance since they are still clueless at such young age. Logical or structured thinking and creative skills use different brains. Based on common science knowledge, using more of one will end up stronger than the other. Before this set in, it is wise to introduce programs that exercise both brains.

At Erudite, we try to offer programs that can enhance total brain development so that we can build a better foundation for our young ones. For structure thinking, we have Computer Programming courses. For creative thinking, we offer Reading courses (e.g. Travel through Reading). 

Creativity is not taught but led, we shall talk more about this in our future posts. Stay tune!
